Okay, so Chhaava, that movie with Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna, is doing pretty well. It's one of those historical dramas, telling the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who was a Maratha king. Word on the street is that people like it, and it’s been making some serious money.
So, here’s the deal with how much money Chhaava has been raking in.
Budget-wise, they spent around ₹140 crore to get the movie made and advertised. A bit of money I agree, but it seems like it was worth it!
Here’s a quick breakdown of how much it made each day for the first 12 days it was out. This is split between how much it earned in India (after taxes) and how much it earned around the world (before taxes).
Day India Net (₹ Crore) Worldwide Gross (₹ Crore)
1 31.00 54.48
2 37.00 47.25
3 48.50 121.00
4 24.00 164.75
5 25.75 200.00
6 32.40 246.50
7 21.60 310.50
8 24.03 334.51
9 44.10 393.35
10 41.10 418.00
11 18.00 436.00
12 17.00 453.00
Just a heads up, the India numbers are after they took out the taxes, and the worldwide numbers are before any taxes got taken out.
A couple of big things to note:
The film started off extremely well in India, making ₹31 crore on the first day. That is a lot, isn't it?
It didn't take long to cross ₹100 crore in India. It took only three days! By the end of that third day, it made ₹116.5 crore.
After a week, the movie had made over ₹300 crore globally, which made it the highest-grossing Hindi movie in 2025 at that point. Pretty amazing right?
As of day 12, Chhaava made about ₹453 crore worldwide. That puts it up there with some of the biggest Bollywood movies ever.
The movie is still going strong, both in India and everywhere else. People seem to really like this film.
