Is Chhaava still doing well in theaters? will it get to 500 crore?

Okay, so Chhaava, that film with Vicky Kaushal, is still doing pretty well in theaters. It has been 21 days since it was released. It's doing so well that it has earned more than Stree 2 did in its third week in India. But will it get to 500 crore?

To break it down, Chhaava raked in ₹31 crore on its first day. By the end of week one, it had already made ₹219.25 crore. Week two brought in another ₹180.25 crore. Things have slowed down a little bit since then, but it's still earning money.

In its third week, Chhaava earned₹13 crore on Friday,₹22 crore on Saturday, and₹24.25 crore on Sunday. Monday dipped to₹7.75 crore, Tuesday made₹5.4 crore, Wednesday picked up a little, bringing in₹6.15 crore, and Thursday it earned about₹5.35 crore.

That makes the Week 3 total about ₹84.08 crore. According to Sacnilk, Chhaava has grossed ₹483.40 crore in India until now.

Compared to Stree 2, with Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Chhaava is ahead. Stree 2 made ₹70.2 crore in its third week. Chhaava is still about₹17 crore away from the₹500 crore goal, but it might reach it this Saturday if things go as expected. On Thursday, about 10.25% of seats were filled in theaters overall. Morning showings had 6.71% occupancy, afternoon at 9.92%, evening at 10.33%, and night at 14.01%.

Plus, the Telugu version of Chhaava is hitting over 550 screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana this Friday. Geetha Film Distributors is in charge of that release.

Word is, the movie will also be available on Netflix starting April 11, but there hasn't been any official word about that yet.

This movie, directed by Laxman Utekar, is all about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj (the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj) and how the Marathas fought back against the Mughal Empire.

The cast is full of stars! Besides Vicky Kaushal, you have Rashmika Mandanna, Vineet Kumar Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Santosh Juvekar, and Pradeep Rawat. The Hindi version came out in theaters around the world on February 14.
